I am a painter of dark fantasies, ancient folk memories, night religions, childhood memories, and spiritual transformation. Feminine archetypes from tales and myths are ethereal presences in the landscape. Since childhood I wanted to illustrate fairy tales, and capture the fleeting glimpses of other worlds seen while deeply immersed in nature. I won prizes for my artwork in school and realized after trying many things that art, writing and teaching are the only things I could do well.
My mission as an artist is to restore a deep connection to nature and the soul, to remember a seemingly lost world of beauty and spiritual power mirrored in the land.
On July 1st, 2023 I was graced with a supernatural encounter with Our Lord, Jesus Christ and everything changed. I was diagnosed with very early cancer and needed only minor surgery, but many treatments. In the six months spent going through surgery and recovery, I dedicated my art practice to the Lord and painted Cor Jesu Sacratissimum --- to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is in the true Old Masters style of many thin glazes of oil paint. It took six months to complete.
I hope my work moves you in the depths of your being to restore a true and deep connection to God through nature and the spiritual forces that weave through it.

My inspiration comes from nature, weather, seasons, the moon, the night, and my feminine relationship to the earth. The Catholic Tradition, cathedrals, gardens, Jesus, Mary, angels and saints, ideas from literature, poetry, films and the work of artists from long ago influence my themes and suggest the next stage of the journey.
Oil, acrylic, mixed media, I like to explore and discover what the piece wants to be. Painting is a dialogue between the conscious and unconscious minds. Images form within to be mirrored forth into the world. I see a compelling image in my mind and try to reproduce it, staying open to where the process takes me.
I have painted on and off all my life, coming back to it finally in 2016. In 1996, I entered Faery and emerged with a tarot deck which I finished in 2000. I have always created from visions and dreams. Because of his admiration for my tarot deck, a friend commissions several pieces from me. With this encouragement, I began painting every day since, and the path keeps taking me forward.
